Theory, concepts and the classroom are great places to begin to build an understanding of a field. However, all of these are just knowledge until they are applied to a task. Andrew/Amanda is familiar with this need to apply concepts to fully understand them, and thus has sought out practical experiences to suppliment zir classroom education.
